This weather is perfect for slurping on pho, and there’s a new spot to do just that in South Tampa.
On Monday, Tampa food blogger Jenn Thai posted about the owners of Yummy House Chinese restaurants quietly opening Phở 813, a new Vietnamese food restaurant in South Tampa.
The spot—located at 3701 W Henderson Blvd. near that weird intersection that includes W Inman and S Sterling Avenues—is in the space once occupied by The Local Tampa bar and restaurant. Its menu includes beef phở, bún bò Huế (pictured above), summer rolls and crispy egg rolls, and more.
“[The food was] packed perfectly for takeout and transported back home very well (noodles separated from broth, egg rolls nice and crispy). Their phở broth is simmered for 15 hours and you can tell—it’s very flavorful and aromatic,” Thai wrote. “While their prices are a little bit higher than your traditional hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese spot, the portions are plentiful, and we’ll definitely be back for more.”
Phở 813 is open for lunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.—and reopens at 5 p.m. for dinner—seven days a week. It closes at 9 p.m. every day except for Friday and Saturday when doors close at 9:30 p.m.
There aren’t any social media pages for the joint yet, so just slide your pho-ckin ass over there.
It lives where The Local used to be.RAY ROA JAN 5, 2021 12 PM
